hehehe... i was looking at the last few posts that i did, and each one started with "so..." and then something. i thought i'd start this post off a little different...with a laugh :)
once again, i find myself blogging when i should be doing something else. of course, this time i'm not planning on staying up all night. it's only 11:20. anyway, i should be studying for a midterm or two right now, but i've really just lost all of my momentum for the day. unfortunately, this isn't a good thing. tomorrow i have one exam, then class, then work, then dinner, then bible study. then my next exam is at 7:40 in the morning. momentum would be a really good thing right now.
one of the reasons i'm not done studying yet is because i decided i wanted to make brownies for bible study tomorrow. if any crossroads middle/high school students read this before tomorrow night, SHHHH!! it's a surprise. the thing is, i'm pretty sure that no one reading this is part of that group. okay, back on topic. i wanted to make brownies because i was just thinking about how much i love that group of not-so-much-kids-but-young-adults. jonathan and i were so sick this weekend, we had to cancel a trip we had been planning for a while (SOOOOOO SORRY RACHAEL!!), and because of that we didn't go to church on sunday either. anyway, one of my wonderful girls bailey emailed me and asked me why i wasn't there on sunday. she wanted to make sure i would be there wednesday and then started telling me what she did today. it just made me so happy. jonathan and i then started talking about the time that i first talked to bailey. we were just sitting at a table, she was nearby, and she looked so sad. so i just started talking to her. i made an instant friend. i am so blessed to be working with the girls that i am. never in my life have i seen a group of 12 and 13 year olds who are as wise and loving as they are. last week, i got an email from jessie, who is another one of my girls. she was just sharing about a friend of hers who cut his finger open and was rushed to the hospital. she wanted us to pray for him. i just love them all. (i'm also blessed cuz my little sister-in-law is in the group, so i get to talk to her more now too!!) i feel like i learn more every time i talk to them. well, today i was thinking about all the great girls i get to work with and also started thinking about the great ones i don't get to work with, not to mention the guys. anyway, i just thought what better way to bless them than to make brownies for the whole group? that's why i'm still up...that and studying...
i've seemed to have hit a wall in my brit lit questions...so i'm blogging...psychology isn't until thursday, so i'm blogging...all this to say i should be asleep right now.
take joy in the younger friends that you make. they can teach you so much. God really works through their lives, their hugs, and their words. He has in my situation...
p.s. sorry about the sporadic blog...the next one will be a little more coherent...
