So busy, so tired...

This was a great weekend. Jonathan's parents showed up around 7:00 or so. We were making pizza and sat down to watch Mr. Bean's Holiday. If you haven't seen that movie and like Mr. Bean (the show, not the first movie,) you will love it. It's very funny and ends in song, as every good movie should. :) Well, as we were sitting down to start the movie, Sarah Jo showed up! I love Sarah Jo to death. She is a sweet, joyful, funny woman with lots of spirit and an intense love of God. We sat up talking until after midnight.

In the morning on Saturday, we sat around trying to figure out what to do. We had originally planned on going camping, but all of the camp sites were full. So we talked about the amusement park in town, Frontier City, and the water park, White Water Bay. The kids hadn't been to a water park in a long time, so we did that. There was a slight chance of severe weather, but it was at about 30%, so we went anyway. I'm glad we did. We had a lot of fun. I spent a lot of the time sitting next to Connie in the shade, just talking. Conlan wasn't really fond of the water; I think it was too cold. But we got him in a little bit. For more detail and pictures, check out Connie's blog. Jonathan and I were feeling just a little under the weather on the morning. However, by lunch time, we were feeling pretty sick. He spent most of the afternoon laying on a chair. I would get up and try to get Conlan in the water.

This morning when we got up, we both felt incredibly miserable. We knew Jonathan's family wanted to go to check out Bridgeway, so we tried our best to get ready. Around 9:15 or so, Jonathan finally admitted that he wasn't going to make it. He was feeling too bad to go to church. So we just stayed home and talked. We were all a little upset about it; Jonathan and I have been disconnected from a church family for so long, and Jonathan's family wanted to see the church that we like so much. Talking was nice though. After they left, we went out to look for a TV stand. Jonathan won an LCD flatscreen TV in a contest at work, and it doesn't fit well into the stand that we have. We had to remove a vertical board to get it in. And honestly, it doesn't look that great. We are very picky on how much we want to spend, so we ended up looking at stands all day and not buying one. We found one on Wal-Mart's website that we'll probably buy. It's lower quality, but it's cheaper.

Tomorrow Jonathan has the day off...we'll think of something wonderful to do. Maybe we'll go to the Oklahoma City Memorial for the bombings. It seems like a fitting day to pay tribute to those who lost their lives. Happy Memorial Day.
