My mom and grandmothers came up this weekend to visit and for a shower that my church was throwing for me. It was nice and relaxing at first; we spent a lot of time resting. One of my grandmothers is getting on in years, and she has heart problems. In fact, she has a pacemaker and is on lots of different medications. When she comes to visit, we don't do a lot. (NICE!)
Well, Sunday was a little bit more stressful. We went to church in the morning, and the shower was at 2:30. We planned on eating lunch out, resting for a few minutes, then heading to the shower. During church (around 10:30), my grandmother sat down to drink some water. Before we knew it, she had passed out (though her eyes were open). She looked right at us when we talked to her, but she did not respond. Jonathan called 911, and our pastor stopped preaching. Everyone came over and prayed for her. Before the prayer was finished, she was conscious again but very weak. Some of my friends took me out and calmed me down; they didn't want me to go into labor. Since Jonathan had already called the ambulance, she went ahead and went to the hospital, though she didn't want to. Apparently this is a spell that she goes through because of her heart medication. Her doctor doesn't know how to control it; he just tells her she has to live with it. The doctor at the ER had her out of there by 1:30, and we were able to make it to the shower.
The shower was lots of fun and really cute. They had a bath theme and a cute cake with bubbles and rubber duckies. :) I will share pictures, but I have to wait until my mom gets her's posted. I didn't have my camera with me.
This morning my family went home. They wanted to get my grandma home.
One cute story...Conlan calls my mom "Bugga" and my grandmothers "GiGi". Well, my mom's mom calls Conlan "Darling" all the time. So this weekend, she ceased to be "GiGi" and is now "Darlin".

I'm glad your grandma is feeling better. It is scary.
